Friday, October the 23rd 2015 sees the release of this year’s most anticipated Foodie movie, aptly titled Burnt.

Cast:  Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Omar Sy, Daniel Brühl, Matthew Rhys, Alicia Vikander, Uma Thurman, Emma Thompson

Director: John Wells

Writers: Steven Knight (screenplay), Michael Kalesniko (story)

About:

John Wells, best known for his role as executive producer of the television series ER, Third Watch, The West Wing and Shameless, directs an all star cast to bring you this heartfelt comedy drama about a man who had it – and lost it all.

Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) only ever cared about one thing, creating plates of food that made diners stop and long for more. And he succeeded, he was a rockstar chef, having attained two Michelin stars, but that is until his diva like behaviour and dabbling in the world of drugs saw his demise, and a bad review close him down.

Now he wants back in the kitchen, and is hungrier than ever before that his food philosophy is experienced by as many as possible. He heads back to London to try to right his wrongs and re-build his career so that he can ultimately return to Paris to open his own restaurant and gain that ever elusive third Michelin star. In order to do this however he needs to have help on his side, which includes that of the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller).

The movie tracks Jones’s journey in and out of the kitchen as he sets to reinvent him, and once again share his passion with the world.

It is a movie about food, about old and new relationships, about love and second chances.

With the rise of the food industry worldwide and that of celebrity chefs, we have seen many food and chef related movies hit our big screens over the past couple of years, but this one I am most excited about.  The movie is set to entertain not only those with a passion for food or those that understand the workings of a professional kitchen, but it is also for anyone who knows what it’s like to have failed and have had to start again.

“Never underestimate a man with nothing to lose”

  1. Has Cooper entered the “monotone-muttering” phase of his career? He comes off as worse than septuagenarian Harrison Ford in this like he did in “American Sniper.”
