Haute Cabriere goes national with a set of Pop-Up restaurants

Franschoek’s famed and much loved wine estate, Haute Cabriere, together with chef’s Nic van Wyk and Westley Muller are setting off to travel around the country for a second season of pop-up restaurants. Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban and the Garden Route are on the list of places to be visited, and each experience promises to be a memorable one.

Haute Cabriere has a food and wine philosophy which centres around both harmony and balance. Takuan von Arnim, second generation cellar master, aspires to produce well-balanced wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, while still honouring the unique characteristics of these noble grape varietals. When it comes to the food side of things Chefs Nic and Westley rely on classic French techniques perfectly matched with bold South African cuisine. All dishes that will be served at each pop-up has been expertly paired with wines from both the Haute Cabrière and Pierre Jourdan portfolios.
