Get comfortable and warm with at the One&Only Cape Town this winter, who’ll be offering a brand new, exciting menu consisting of sweet and savoury fondues for them. Up to the end of the first month of spring, September, comfort fondues and assorted mouth-watering hot chocolates drinks will be served daily, from noon to 4pm, which is ideal for a lunch date and an afternoon tea.
Each of the fondues will offer a great assortment of meats, seafood and vegetables. The portions are fit for two and include a cheese sauce, flavourful tomato sauce and homemade salts wherein you may dip your yummy fragments. The meat fondue (R275 for two) includes two glasses of Meerlust Pinot Noir; the seafood fondue (R385 for two) includes two glasses of Meerlust Chardonnay; and the vegetarian fondue (R145 for two) includes two craft beers.
Of course, this menu will be well rounded-off with traditional Swiss chocolate fondue (R155 for two). It will include marshmellows, strawberries, churros, nougat, brownies and biscotti, which you can dip in the chocolate flavour depths of the fondue pot. The menu also includes two glasses of Amarula on the side.
The head pastry chef at On&Only Cape Town, Kyle Hickman did wonders to your favourite winter hot drink, hot chocolate. He offers the options of Spiced Dark or Caramel White hot chocolates with cinnamon churros (R60). The award-winning Bain’s Single Grain South African whisky can be included in this meal by adding just R75 per pour.
This decadent menu is exclusively available at Isola, which is the club-style poolside restaurant on One&Only Island. Non-resident guests now, for the very first time, have access to this unique island setting. The setting is surrounded with the views from the V&A Waterfront’s residential marina of clear and calm canals. The tables on the terrace have been uniquely designed to soak up the sun, which allow you to chill and celebrate the ultimate pleasure of finding yourself in the Mother City.
